The coaching model that originofenergy utilises is from the Movement Progression Program developed by Aaron Mckenzie and Anthony Minichiello.
originofenergy’s goal is to teach clients how to experience a healthy, happy and vital life.
originofenergy’s programs are designed for the clients individual needs and wants. 1 on 1 coaching takes place in the studio so that clients can have the coaches focused attention on their journey to a higher level of health and fitness.
Initial Assessment & Program(1 hr)*
Lifestyle Assessment & Base Program (10mins)
This session goes through an efficient analysis of how the client is managing their lifestyle. It’s aim is to set key priorities and direct the client to what is most important to achieve their goals. Lifestyle modification is an ongoing process so it is revised every session with 1 on 1 clients. At originofenergy we coach clients through practical methods of:
•Meditation, Critical Thinking and Goal Setting
•Optimal Nutrition and Hydration
•Regenerative & Athletic Movement
•Rest and Recovery
Movement Assessment (20mins)
This session assesses the mechanical structure of the body so that an individual needs for Stretching and Strengthening can be identified. This allows the coach to prioritize exercises so the client can achieve their physical potential. Key areas assessed:
•Joint Range Of Motion
•Functional Movement Patterns
This session is based around the mobilisation warm up used at originofenergy.
Movement Program Training & Instruction (30mins)
Clients are taken through their program step by step. The program is based on the best program being the one that a client will do. Everything is agreed upon to insure the optimal outcome.
Movement Programs can be filmed and emailed to the client in the session.
Recommended Program Progression (1-8 weeks)
* Clients presenting with more complex lifestyle and biomechanical challenges may need extra time for a comprehensive assessment & program. In this case it would be done in multiple 1 hr sessions. The dynamic nature of the body and life means that assessing & reprogramming is a constant process based an individual circumstances & choices.
Clients that are going to be continuing with Progression group classes can join by either completing 2 x 1 on 1 sessions or complete the Progression Intro workshop scheduled 1 x per month.
In the 1 on 1 entry clients will be taken through:
whole body massage ball
whole body foam roller
whole body mobility routine
Dislocate, Shoulder band, Ankle band & Deep squat warm up.
4 Hang Handstand Split warm up variations
for the first session.
The next sessions will be used to become prepared to join the Monday- Friday workouts

Side Lever- Meat Hook-QDR
Back lever- Manna- Front split
Muscle Up- Bend/ Squat Curl Press
Hanging Compression- Press to Handstand- Pancake
Pull Push Legs:
Rope Pull- Overhead Push- Single Leg Squat
Twist- Sprint- Jump
Horizontal Pull- Push – Lunge
Overhead Pull- Overhead Press- Squat
High Pull- Dip- Deadlift
Front- Side – Back: Bridges
Neck bridges- calf raises
Front- Side – Back: Segmental Roll ups on the Swissball
Hanging-Standing flexion extension.
Swinging-Crawling- Sissy Squatting- Kneeling Glute & Hamstring
After completing either 2 x 1 on 1’s or Progression Intro workshop clients can attend all the originofenergy group classes besides the Saturday Acro class at 7am & 9am this class is subject to the approval of Aaron Mckenzie and is limited to 10 participants. Usually approval is given once a base level of the handstand warm up is achieved. The Saturday 8am Hang Handstand Split class is a great intro to the acro class and has a 20 participant capacity like all the other originofenergy group classes.
The clients beginning progressions can be filmed and emailed to the client upon request.
Ongoing 1 on 1 Sessions (1hr)
Clients can opt for the coaching schedule that suites their needs. Clients range from those that get a new program every 8 weeks to those that get coaching 5 x per week. Coaching is based on teaching practical lifestyle and movement progressions. On request movement and lifestyle programs can be filmed and emailed to the client so they have dynamic visual and auditory reference.
Clients often integrate both 1 on 1 and group class training at the originofenergy health & fitness studio. This allows the clients to get the maximum out of the training originofenergy offers by becoming part of our community.
Clients can also include up to 4 people in the session with the trainer as long as each client has had an initial 1 on 1 assessment.
Clients can opt for 1-4 on 1 session that are based on the progression class structure for specific specific goals. Example for specific sports performance: Rugby, Surfing etc or specific needs weight loss, muscular imbalance, weak links in their muscle skeletal chain.

At originofenergy we work with a range of Health Professionals who are in alignment with a modern natural approach to life. Through the comprehensive assessment key referrals can be made to ensure the efficient successful achievement of goals.
